1.  Rumford guarantees that this cat is in good health. This cat has been immunized against Feline Infectious Enteritis, Feline Rhinotracheitis and Calici Virus. This cat has no fleas, ear mites or other external parasites. This cat is FeLV and FIV Negative.

2.  Rumford's Health Warranty extends for three working days from the date of this contract and strongly suggests to have this cat examined by your veterinarian within that time. If, within the guarantee period, the cat is shown to be sick by a Licensed Veterinarian, Purchaser agrees to either:

A. Return the cat to Rumford to be returned to purchaser when health is restored or, at the purchaser's request Rumford will provide a full refund of the purchase price less shipping.

B.  Purchaser will present to Rumford a Veterinarian's bill for reimbursement. Rumford's maximum liability shall be no greater than the purchase price.

C.  Purchaser's request for reimbursement MUST be accompanied by a Veterinarian's receipt and records confirming that the illness was contracted by the cat prior to purchase.

D. Payment of veterinarians service up to Rumford's maximum liability will be made only upon receipt of an itemized statement. Rumford will not honor any claims after the guarantee period except as stated in item 3 below.

3.  Should this cat develop any hereditary illness or defect within the first year of life, Rumford will replace the cat, with shipping at purchaser's expense, provided the following provisions are met:

A.  The cat was treated by a Licensed Veterinarian and Rumford was contacted.

B.  Purchaser presents a statement from the Veterinarian verifying diagnosis of the illness or defect with a postmortem report showing a hereditary illness or defect as the cause of death.

C.  Purchaser returns the cat to Rumford if it is living with shipping at purchaser's expense.

4.  Cats sold with breeding rights are guaranteed fertile unless loss of fertility is the result of injury, disease or infection. If this cat is over two years of age and proven sterile after having been mated to two proven studs/queens Rumford will return the difference between purchase price and pet quality kitten price. Before Rumford will return the difference to purchaser, the cat must be altered or spayed.

5.  Rumford agrees to provide registration papers and an unofficial pedigree as soon as full payment has been made for Breeder or Show Quality cat. Pet Quality cats will receive their papers after full payment has been made and when proof of spay or neuter documentation is received from the veterinarian.

6.  Rumford does not guarantee the show success of the cat sold. We feel that this cat is a good representative of the breed but show successes are dependent on outside factors beyond the breeder's control; including but not limited to competition, grooming, condition, health and maturity. Rumford does not guarantee the health, show quality or quality of kittens produced from future breedings of breeder/show cat.

7.  If the feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) or Feline Leukemia (FeLV) vaccination is given to this cat, all guarantees are null and void.
