Since 1999  Rumford Maine Coons has  tested their cats for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Willy has had 5 consecutive years of tests showing no cardiac disease. Much to our shock and unbelievable sadness on May 6th, 2004 at age 9 1/2 years Willy's ultrasound was shown to have moderate HCM.  Willy crossed Rainbow Bridge September, 27, 2007
